Installed beta MSN Messanger 7.0 could not connect

Uninstalled 7.0 reinstalled 6.2 could not connect, tried
windows messanger and could connect, tried web messanger
and could connect, tried re-installing 6.2 and removing
and reinstalling again can not connect using xp sp2 norton
internet security but it is not blocking....have I got a
bad .dll in there somewhere? Thanks much prefer to use
the msn messanger...kevin

Hi there! I have a similar problem to you actually......I was using msn
messenger 6.0, but i kept having pop ups saying i need to upgrade it........i
downloaded 6.2 version but for some reason it won't let me connect. It keeps
saying you have a problem with internet connection, but i don't! Am now
forced to use windows messenger! but how long before that goes capputt on me??

If I find anything out will relay to you I much prefer
the msn to windows messenger but can not use it just
never connects but the windows does right off every
