John, did you look in Sound and Audio Devices in Control Panel and in
Device Manager>Sound, Video and Game Controllers. Look for any yellow marks
next to Device Items. Click on and select Update driver.

disabled the onboard sound card wn I get everything up but no sound. This
comes with its own console and mixer. I opened and set everything up and I
get signals on my out unit but nothing in windows or in control panel sound,
the playback and record are greyed out. I tried every PCI port and every
kind of configuration possible to set this up. I tried to get a hold of MOTU
with no luck getting a hold of anyone. I follwed the instructions from the
update by installing software first then the PCI card. Still nothing. Any
help would be appriciated.
