Installing HP 2410 Printer with Windows XP

While attempting to install HP 2410 Printer with Version
3.1.1 Drivers setup software and Windows XP Version 5.1,
install was stopped for insufficient Administrator Access
Rights. EDS IT Support could not resolve the problem, HP
Technical support could not resolve th eproblem after
thoroughly checking all related settings. HP Technical
support is referring me to Microsoft with this unresolved
problem.

During the course of analysis we also determined that HP
is not listed in the registry using regedit. HP Not
listed in Software>HKey- Local Machine. Don't know why?
