Installing nw hard drive

I'm Installing a new Hard drive and I want to copy all to
new drive. I know that there is no gost that will work
with XP, so can I install XP and backup programs data and
settings from old drive and then restore all the
data, pograms and settings to new drive with out installing
all programs one at the time??

I don't know if ghost works the same way with win2000 but when I create an
image of my xp partition it asks for a unique serial number that I have to
enter everytime I restore the image if I enter it wrong or don't enter it it
just boots me out. Just a thought, you might want to try it.

I can't even get that far Paul. Attempting to run Ghost from Windows gets
terminated with a GhostStartError.txt message.

You have to run ghost from a startup disk at least you do with 2002, check
under help for creating a ghost startup disk.
