installing second harddrive

Posted: 11-17-2003, 01:09 PM
I've installed a compatible second harddrive in my dell
dimension, 866MHz with latest XP Pro. Device Mgr shows
it working properly and System Information lists it but
it does not show up in Windows Explorer or My Computer.
What's up with that?
Thanks

Greetings --

The hard drive cannot appear in Windows Explorer or My Computer
until it has been partitioned and formatted. Right-click My Computer
> Manage > Disk Management. Create and format partition(s) on the
second hard drive as desired.
