Installing Windows 98 software on Vista Home Premium

I have just bought a new Dell PC with Vista Home Premium. Is it possible to
install a programme called Quicken 98 by Intuit? I have the CD Rom, but on
loading it I get the message: Set Associations. Can anyone advise please.
Many thanks.

All versions Intuit programs, with the exception of the very latest version,
are ***NOT*** Vista compatible.

Intuit has no intention of making them so. They will ***NOT*** give you a
free update, even from the previous version (yours is several versions
previous). They tell their customers to buy the latest version.

Great company!

Your version of Quicken will not work properly on XP, let alone Vista.. you
will have to get the Vista version if you want to keep using Quicken..

Hi,

Don't most new computers come with the new Quicken or Money?

If you are bent on sticking with Quicken 98 and you still have your Windows
98 installation CD, check into Microsoft Virtual PC. It's free and allows
you to run an operating system in a window. So you could install Quickens 98
in Windows 98, which will run in a window (or full screen) under Vista.
