Default Internet access

I recently had to replace my modem now when I connect to
a website I can get to the actual website however when I
clink on links within that website I get an error
message "cannot find server" so I am unable to actually
navigate within the site. This happens at any site I try
to go to

Hi Lisa,

1. Click [Start] [Run] type:
(Press Enter after each command)
Regsvr32 /i URLMON.DLL
Regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
Regsvr32 shdocvw.dll

2. Restart Windows
3. Open IE [Tools] [nternet Options] [Programs] [Reset Web Settings]

If this does not help, run this fix: Based on MSKB article:
http://www.angelfire.com/dragon/sram...tils/IEFix.exe

Manual procedure: (Microsoft Knowledge article link)

Setting up as a limited account limits alot of what one can do,
you can R.click C: drive, properties, then open quota tab and set
use limitations.

Default INTERNET ACCESS

I'm in an office situation whereby I need to block access to all sites with a
few exceptions (for business purposes). Have tried using content adviser
under internet options, but a few sites I need access to do not have a
"rating". I'm using internet explorer 6 on xp workstation. Also going to run
into problems whereby certain sites link to others which I will need access
to.
Surely there is a simple & effective way. Would love some advice.
