I have two computers using xp professional, on one
computer I have two netcards, one to connect to internet
through a wireless lan and the other netcard is used to
connect both computers, can somebody tell me how to
configure the second computer to use internet on both...

first, I set computer 2 to use internet through lan, but
nothing... so

second, I set on computer 1 over netcard2 a mark to allow
other computers to connect internet via comp1, but still
nothing...

I'm running XP home edition. Can't pinpoint when problem
started, but when connected to the internet (dialup)as
anyone but the administrator, sites won't load. Limited
account users in household can connect to internet but it
just won't load the sites. Thanks for any help.

Dialup often decays.

Remove it and redo it by running inetwiz in your run box.
wsock32.dll can also become damaged or taken over by some virus.

I just got cable internet yesterday. I can't power of my
computer if the cable modem is still plugged in. If i
try to, using the "shut down" command, the computer just
restarts. If i just power off the modem, that is not
enough...the computer still restarts. I have to
completely unplug the modem to get the computer to turn
off. I've talked to my ISP for assistance, but they said
it was a microsoft problem. Instead of paying $100.00 to
ask a simple question, I thought I'd try this! I'd
appreciate any input!! Thank you...feel free to email me!

>Have you check the BIOS settings of your computer for
Wake on LAN function? if this setting is enabled, you may
find by disabeling it, you can succesfully enter "sleep"
mode.

Who told you it would cost $100.00 to talk to Microsoft?
If XP came pre installed on this computer you should first
consult the computer manufacture for support, otherwise it
may cost $35.00 to talk to Microsoft and that fee could be
refunded if no resolution is found,

My favorite site is unavailable to me now. It's
www.neopets.com. Everytime i try to got there, that
annoying, 'This page cannot be displayed' message pops
up. I went there everyday for the past year or so and
then, one day, this happens. It has never happened
before. I checked the blocked sites box and it wasn't
there. I emptied out my cache and did everything my
Internet Explorer Troubleshooter suggested and now I have
no idea what to do. Please someone help me, I am
desperate.

Hello Everyone,
I would be so pleased if anyone could help me with this
infuriating problem. I can normally reset my web homepage
to what ever i want via tools/internet options....but no
matter how many times I do it it constantly reverts it to
a this particular ad-ridden page http://i-lookup.com/. It
is extremely annoying, and if anyone could help me on to
permantly delete this thing so I can set my web page
permantly to google.
My second problem is that I have a toolbar off this
stupid site referring to pornographic links which I
certainly do not want on my computer. Everytime I right
click on the toolbar to get it off it goes, but when i
start a new browser its up again. Could anyone tell me
how I can permantly delete that off my system aswell.
Thanks, any help much appreicated.
Mike

Hi, Mike -

There are a couple of things you can do to remove this
particular irritation. You can download and install Ad-
Aware from

http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download/

and/or Spybot Search and Destroy from

http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?
lang=en&page=download

both are free.

If either method fails or you'd just like to remove the
spyware manually take a look here -

http://www.pestpatrol.com/PestInfo/i/ilookup.asp

good luck!
