There is a yellow sticked on the back of the folder of
the copy you purchased.

Greetings --

You need to examine the Product Key very carefully. It's awfully
easy to mistake a "B" for an "8," a "G" for a "6," an "S" for a "5,"
or a "Q" for a "0" or "O." Fortunately, Microsoft had the good sense
to leave the "1's," "I's," "O's," and "0's" out of the equation.
Also, be sure that your CapsLock if _off_ while entering the Product
Key.

Well if you would have bothered to read the EULA or the
back of the box the CD came in you would know that you can
install XP on one machine. Simple 1 license 1 pc, 2
licenses 2 pc, and so on. SO you broke the rules and now
you are confused. You are a MORON.

You can only install it on ONE computer. Had you bothered to read the EULA
you would have known that. You must buy a second copy of Windows or a
second CD key in order to install it on the second computer.

Use the 'activate by phone' method, if you have bought both licencs all
right they will be able to activate your windows without problems during the
phone call.

And yet more encouragement of unethical behaviour.
It is no surprise you hide behind the CDO.

Greetings --

Just as it says, right on the box, you'll need to purchase a
separate WinXP license for each computer on which you install it.

As it has *always* been with *all* Microsoft operating systems,
it's necessary (to be in compliance with both the EULA and U.S.
copyright law http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/17/117.html), if not
technically) to purchase one WinXP license for each computer on which
it is installed. (Consult an attorney versed in copyright law to
determine final applicability in your locale.) The only way in which
WinXP licensing differs from that of earlier versions of Windows is
that Microsoft has finally added a copy protection and anti-theft
mechanism, Product Activation, to prevent (or at least make more
difficult) multiple installations using a single license.

You can buy additional licenses, assuming you have a retail
license. Naturally, Microsoft cannot sell additional OEM licenses. Be
aware, however, that you'll probably pay more this way than you would
if you were to buy a second copy of WinXP from a discount retailer;
Microsoft will only offer you a 15% discount off their MSRP.
