IP printing

I have two network printers setup on one HP Jet Direct
Box with only one IP address coming in. How can I setup
both printers? For example if you install using the Local
Printer setup choosing other Port and choosing IP. It
comes up saying there is more than one port for this
printer and it asks to choose one. Well if I choose Port1
then that is the only printer that will work for the IP
address on the JetDirect Box. How can I get XP to install
a second printer on the same IP address but on a
different Port?

I have seen this twice now. When I attempt to add an ip
port and select Standard TCP/IP Printing and click on
the "New Port" button I get and error message "Error
loading the Tcp Mib library." I didn't find anything in
the KB when searching on that error. Can anyone suggest a
fix.

How do I print to a printer via an ethernet IP address?
THis printer does not automatically show up in my Network
window, but other computers (macs) are able to print to
it. The "Add Printer" wizard will not recognize its IP
address when I enter it.

Thanks

JR, I just succeeded in doing what your asking....... I'm a Mac guy who
slugged it out until it worked........
Have 2 macs one running system 10 and the other 9.2.2 both printing to an
ancient HP4M thru ip printing. Accomplished in a blink on the Mac side.....
Just added a wireless laptop running XP Professional and what *finally* made
it work was to add an LPR port (not the standard tcp/ip port when adding a
new printer..... ..... The standard tcp/ip port didn't work for me either.
and when asked type in the ip address of your printer and then it's
name..... .... Select the driver and it worked for me.
Btw.... Early on when you come to the choice of selecting the port.... If
you don't see the LPR option, do a search in help and it'll show you the way
to add the option.....

Good luck,
hil
