iPhone and iTunes and IMAPI CD burns on XPPro/SP2

Finally it comes to me - I think?

My IMAPI service will not turn "on" and stay "on" - so I'm unable to burn a
CD using the built-in XP function. Could NOT figure out how to get IMAPI to
turn on and stay on...till today. While I'm a pc guy, I do have an iPhone and
have just learned to use iTunes to manage my music on same...and I just
noticed the button on iTunes that once I SYNC, I can then burn a CD.

Is that it? Does iTunes when installed on XP suddenly take over the mgmt of
the IMAPI item and close it down all the time thereby 'dis-enabling' the
burning of CDs?

Is that it? Might be?
