Is WDC Data Lifeguard worth installing?

I just installed a new WDC hard drive and everything is working fine.
I am a believer in "less-is-better" and have not yet installed their Data
Lifeguard software.
What are the pros and cons of installing or not installing it?
I use the WDC as a clone of my other hard drive, if that makes a difference
in your opinion.

Lifeguard could be a diagnostic software for their hard drive line. I would
only install it if I suspect that my drive would be failing.
