ISO signature

how do you check the MD5 Hash and SHA1 hash signatures. I downloaded
5728 and the file size is 2,749,628,416 bits but during install I
recieve error 0x80070241 which when googled shows a corrupt file. I am
downloading a second copy and before I burn it as an image file I want
to check it. please help it takes 9 hours with my connection to
download and if this copy is corrupt I want to try again before I go to
bed tonight.

Is it possible to check the first copy (on USB drive) or do I have to
check before leaving the download manager

Dan:

I use the free HashCalc from SlavaSoft. Works on XP, probably on Vista.
You need to have the downloaded file on your computer (USB drive is OK).
You do not (and can not) do it while connected to the download manager.

Checking the hash (you only need one, not both) determines with almost
100% certainty whether the download is correct. So you never need to
waste (everyone's) bandwidth re-downloading a good download. And you
never need to burn a bad download.

Since your connection is slow, the possibility of corruption is greater.
I think you do have the option to have it sent to you on a DVD (but it cost
for shipping).

From what I read this is a download only release. I checked my firs
download using Nero Portal MD5 verifier and it wasnt even close. I
this attempt doesnt work Ill just have to find a faster connection. It
too bad because RC1 download/burn went so well
