iTunes and My Music folder...

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, but couldn't find a
PC-centric iTunes group...

I've been trying to get iTunes to recognize that the My Music folder
it wants is now on my C drive and no longer in My Documents (which
is a network share). This is on a 2K Pro box.

I've moved the My Music folder by right-click dragging and selecting
Move here. When that didn't work, I edited the registry to change
the default location of the My Music folder to the C drive. Changed
the iTunes prefs to the new location, threw away the old folder and
still no luck.

Can anyone tell me what step I might be missing? Thanks!
