I've got a serious problem w/ my comp. When I start it,
it goes through the part where it shows DOS with it's
white lettering on black and all and then it pops up with
this screen that says basicly:
"There was a problem that probly was caused when it was
booting up and someone accidently triped over the cord.
Pick a option:
Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt
Last Known Good Configuration Settings
Safe Mode"
When you select any of the safe modes, it show a huge
list of filenames and then promptly restarts. If you
select safe mode or last good known config., it acts like
it's starting and then pops up w/ a blue screen for .2
seconds. Then it restarts. By doing that over and over, I
was able to get some of what the blue screen said:
"There is a problem.
UNBOOTABLE_BOOT.EXE
If this is the first time, restart. If appears again,
then follow these steps:
Check to make sure new hardware or software is installed
properly. Check w/ manufacter for Windows updates.
If problem continues, disable/remove new software or
hardware. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or
shadowing. If you need......"
That's all i've been able to get before my eyes started
to hurt. I looked on the Microsoft troubleshooting page
and I think it has something to do w/ the drivers.
Yesterday I installed a driving game
called "Driver"....That's it.
