| I have a problem with Java based webpages. After a clean install of Win XP Home I was asked, when I went on to a web page using Java, to download and install Virtual Java machine. When I did, it said that one wouldn't work as there was a newer version and I had to check Windows Update for it. However, there is nothing of the sort there. In the mean time, Java on web pages does not work or display correctly. Can anyone tell me where to find the correct VJM or how to fix the problem. BTW I also have SP1 installed. Any help will be very welcome. Thanks, Frankie. | Guest

| Frankie; Microsoft is removing Microsoft Virtual Machine from its websites and stopping distribution because of a court order: http://www.microsoft.com/java/ You can download Sun Java here: http://java.sun.com/getjava/ -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] An easier way to read newsgroup messages: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p...oups/setup.asp Please respond to newsgroup only for everyone's benefit.
