Joining Vista to a Domain Servers (HELP)

I have been having major problems after I join vista machines to my domain
network. Network performance is terrible and sometimes connections don't
even take. I have zero device hardware errors with vista but yet
connections to domain servers is terrible. The amazing thing is however I
can surf the internet without a problem. Is there anything I can do other
than scrape the 15 new work stations that we just purchased and go back to
Windows XP PRO?

FYI: I installed XPPRO on one of these machines and they work great. No
problems connecting to any of our four servers.
