Checking further - worked fine to join two version 7 WMV files, but didn't
work with version 8 or 9 files.

Asfcut new version 3,9 for wmv9
Works fine with MM2 wmv files
http://www.radioactivepages.com

Works from commandpromt

join
asfcut -i small.wmv -i small2.wmv -o big.wmv

cut
asfcut -i big.wmv -o small.wmv -start 1:00 -duration 2:02:00

MM2 will work with files of any size/time/length. Apparently your system is
formatted in FAT32, so that is what is limiting the size of your files.
