Re: Just how good is Kazaa

Kazaa Lite is from a different maker and can be hard to find, as many of the
search engine companies, such as Google, have cut off searches for as many
sites as they could for Kazaa because of the copyright issues with music
sharing.

Sharman, who distribute Kazaa, *hate* the "lite" versions of Kazaa. They
would prefer that you use their spyware and adware-infested version
instead, so last year they went on a mission to make Kazaa Lite very
difficult to find. But it still is available in various incarnations
here: http://www.kazaaliteresurrection.com/ Unfortunately the faq on that
site is currently available which is unfortunate, because it describes the
differences between the different Lite versions. As I recall, the "K-Lite
v 2.6" is the most bare-bones version; it's just the basic Kazaa with no
adware or spyware; but it also lacks some of the extra features of the
other versions like the speedup tool, etc.

I strongly DISCOURAGE you to use Kazaa. I used it before and we can find a
lot of songs and movies and so on. However, my PC was completely messed up by
Kazaa. Pop-up ad is OK to me, but the terrible thing is that some Spyware
hijack my browser from time to time and block my access to internet.

It just brought me too much trouble.....
