Start by learning how to spell.

Then: Don't hijack someone else's thread. Start your own thread and
explain your unique situation clearly and in detail.

How do you start a new thread in vBulletin USENET gateway? vBulletin
USENET gateway is a service that leeches messages from this
(microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support) and other Microsoft
newsgroups.

It's among the worst possible ways for you to participate here. Do
yourself a favor and participate in th enewsgroups directly; switch to
a newsreader, such as Outlook Express, which comes with Windows XP, or
Windows Mail, which comes with Vista. See
http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/ou...snewreader.htm

Hey guys,

So I haven't been asking questions lately for a few reasons, firstly
I'd been on vacation for 3 weeks, and also my computer had been workin
the few times I'd tried since getting back. However, that has change
and the blue screen has returned to me. The new details are as follows:

system32\drivers\isapnp.sys being corrupted and not allowing windows t
start.
I ran dskchk and (keeping in mind, I'd run full recoveries multipl
times already, so there shouldn't be anything remaining in my compute
in the realm of viruses and the likes, correct?) and ran dskchk /r fro
command prompts. Upon restart it took a few tries to actually g
through the entire check, with a few errors apparently because when
woke up the one morning windows was asking me which way I wanted to ru
windows (with the options for safe mode etc).

Then finally I got through the entire dskchk /r start to finish, it ha
made some deletions in step 2 of 5, and when the computer booted u
again it told me my computer was now clean. Then when setting up m
computer back to the settings I prefer (with the updated interne
explorer to be exact), the blue screen hit again with:

kernel_stack_inpage_error
0x00000077 (0xc000000E, 0xc000000E, 0x00000000, 0x04cc4000).

Any ideas of things I can do now, cause I am able to run the compute
much better than back in December, I have followed all suggestions yo
have given to me, but it still appears as though there's something stil
messed up.

Thanks in advance guys

- Taylo

Taylor

Background information on Stop Error message:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms794027.aspx

0x00000077: KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR
A page of kernel data requested from the pagefile could not be found or
read into memory. This message also can indicate disk hardware failure,
disk data corruption, or possible virus infection.
Source: http://aumha.org/a/stop.htm

If this is the case, the cause of this issue may be determined from the
second parameter (the I/O status code) by using the following
information that is listed in a "value of second parameter" followed by
"general cause" format:

0xC000000E, or STATUS_NO_SUCH_DEVICE: the drive went unavailable,
possibly a bad hard drive, disk array, and/or controller card.
Source: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/228753

Try HD Tune. It only gives information and does not fix any
problems.

Download and run it and see what it turns up. You want HD Tune
(freeware) version 2.55 not HD Tune Pro (not Freeware) version 3.00.
http://www.hdtune.com/

Select the Info tabs and place the cursor on the drive under Drive
letter and then double click the two page icon ( copy to Clipboard )
and copy into a further message.

Select the Health tab and then double click the two page icon ( copy to
Clipboard ) and copy into a further message. Make sure you do a full
surface scan with HD Tune.

Gerry,

I've downloaded HD Tune 2.55, and I've tried running a full scan twic
now; however, when running it, my computer has shut down both times an
asks me to insert a bootable disk to start Windows again. This usuall
happens at ~20% maybe, with no indication of damage, so might thi
indicate a problem with my RAM?

Anyways, this is what I copied from the Info and Health tabs:

What is the computer make and modl?

What is the motheboard make and mode?

What does chkdsk report by way of bad sectors on the hard drive?

I would test your hard drive with Sea Tools for Windows
