I need to know where to download a driver for Windows XP
to convert my keyboard to a US-International keyboard.
I've tryed to install the US-International version from
the control panel but it seems I need a driver which I
can't fine any where. Any ideas?

Thanks,

juan

Using XP on a Dell 4500 computer. When I tried to go into
STANDBY I got a message that the KEYBOARD DRIVER
interfered with STANDBY and the system froze; I had to
reboot.
I checked the driver: XP says that it is up to date.
Since than the message reappears, at random times and the
computer freezes.
Any idea? Thanks in advance!

If it's a Microsoft keyboard, download new drivers from the Microsoft
Hardware website at
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mo...s/default.aspx

If it's a Dell keyboard check at www.dell.com for updated drivers.

Window label: "System standby failed"
The device driver for the "Standard 101/102 key or
Microsoft natural PS/2 keyboard device is preventing the
machine from entering standby. Please close all
applications and try again. If the problem persists, you
may need to update this driver.

I have closed all programs, deleted the keyboard and
reinstalled, checked latest driver on web no luck.
I have an IBM keyboard model KB 8923, no luck at IBM web
site. Problem persists? Any suggestions?

1. device manager... delete all in keyboard. in human interface device
delete all. in mice delete all. unplug all external keyboards and mice.
note while doing this ignore requests to reboot.
2. using registry editor search for all listings of keyboard software you
installed. also the original laptop software. delete all references[
backup registry before start]
3. reboot should get you windows std keyboard and mice[touchpad] .
4. if external units were logitech there are massive files left after
add/remove the software. there are oem*.* files and entries in controlsets
on registry. etc. use another vender.
5. if you are using microsoft keyboards and mice loading the software will
get the external devices . then if original software was synatech you can
reload that software. if alps good luck on reloading.
6.note if the pc does not have a ps/2 port then usb keyboards are a problem.
ms ps/2 keyboards and usb adapters mostly fail. only the ms natural elite
is usb and will setup correct.
7. check your bios and see if it has a legacy usb setting , if yes enable.
