KMS for W2K3 EN-US x86

Has anyone had any luck installing the above on Windows 2003 Server Standard?

We have tried four different servers now with variations on Windows updates.
All have SP1, two have SP2.

The installation fails on all the servers with the error:
KMS-W2K3 Setup Error
An error in updating your system has occured.
Select 'OK' to undo the changes that have been made.

Microsoft 'webchat' support have been unable to help and recommended I post
here for help.

If it was one server I could accept that there was an issue with it, however
not with four different server o/s (and hardware) builds.

Any help greatly appreciated, or we will be sticking with XP!
