KRNL386.exe error

When printing statements each month we receive the
following error.
PLAT caused a general protection fault in module
KRNL386.exe at 0001:000014f9.
PLAT is our billing software. We have reduced the number
of statements that we print to approximately 100 at a time
and this has reduced the number of times we receive the
error and have to reboot the box but this solution is
really impartical for us.
Does anyone know exactly what is causig the error and what
we can do to correct it.
