laptop media center extender

Hi,
is it true that with vista ultimate you can now use a laptop as an extender?
If so how do you do it?

You can share music files, recorded video and photos from a Media Center PC
to another PC, but you cannot use another PC as an extender (i.e. control
and view the tuners on the Media Center PC to watch live TV on your laptop).
We keep hoping for this capability, someday...
