I've been having an intermittent problem with my LCD monitor lately,
and it's been hard to find any help on it. I came across a thread in
the Dell Support Forums that touches on the same issue:
http://forums.us.dell.com/supportfor....id=610&page=2
My LCD Monitor (an AG Neovo F-15 15" 1024x768 monitor) has a tendency
to blink out of existence for 1-2 seconds and come back on. During
this time, computer activity is stopped. I am normally running an
Nvidia Geforce4 MX400, but upon seeing that someone else in the Dell
Support forum was running that card, I swapped in my old Geforce2.
Within a minute, I had the same problem.
It's not really anything crippling, but it's annoying. It seems
somewhat triggerable by scrolling quickly. It is independant of video
cards, as some people on the Dell forum were using ATI Radeons, but
seems to be tied to the use of LCD monitors of various shapes and
sizes, regardless of being plugged into a DVI or analog slot.
Anyone run into this problem? THere's nothing in the Knowledge base
that I've found.
