Leave copy of messages on server

Posted: 08-09-2006, 06:07 AM
If I use more than one computer to read my email account then I let my main
computer remove the messages from the IP's server and the others leave the
messages on the server. I don't see the option in Vista's Windows Mail to
leave a copy of the messages on the server. Is that option now gone? Has
it been reworded? It is part of OE's setup.

It's in the account's properties, same as OE. In Windows Mail choose Tools >
Accounts, click the account name, click Properties, click the Advanced tab.

Thank You, for some reason I wasn't getting to the right page to find that
setting.

You can also use "Remove mail from server after N-days" (or so) option in
same Advanced tab if you want to be sure no mail has been inadverdently
erased.
