hi guys

just wanted to know real quick,

i have a copy of windows XP sp1 on cd and i have
installed it on my workstation, the question i wanted to
know was, can i install it on my laptop as well ? would i
be breaking any license law's and could i activate it
when / if i did install it on my laptop ?

im aware it may be a silly question but i just wanted to
be sure before i did anything ?

thanks again guys..

You have a "copy" of Windows XP with SP1 slip streamed? Or, you have a copy
of SP1.

The former is illegal to put on more that 1 PC. The 2nd can be used as many
times as you desire.

Nigel;
Are you referring to Windows XP CD that also has SP1 as part of it?
If yes, you can not install it on a second computer.
One license, one computer, the way it has always been with all
consumer Microsoft OSs.
