bullocks hymen-boy, linux is one of many examples of working socialism
(communism was a form thereof) as well as an example of the theory that
communism/socialism only works with the 100% consent of the individuals
involved. if it weren't for leptons like yourself, systems like this
would have perpetuated far deeper into our society than they already
have. linux also (within domains that it can be fairly evaluated in)
outperforms in one way or another (maybe not always in the same distro)
anything microsuck could ever develop. sure, debian sucks as much at
hardware detection as knoppix kicks ass at, but we all know NT and win
pre-XP had their differences as well.

knoppix isn't the greatest in stability, but its the best way to get
things up and running for a plebe like yourself. (and plebes like
myself keep it around for a recovery disk) go play with mandrake.
