Listen to music from input jack

Posted: 09-02-2004, 04:21 PM
My radio has bad speakers, my PC has good speakers. I
have run a cord from the radio headphone jack to the PC
soundcard input.

I don't want to record, simply listen. What program will
let me listen via the soundcard input?

Thanks,
Ron

Ron, if you have Windows XP you shouldn't need any
special software. Double-click on the Volume control in
the tray (lower right corner of the screen, down by the
time).

The brings up the sliders for controlling volume. If you
don't see Line-In listed, go to OPTIONS, PROPERTIES and
make sure Line-In is checked. Once checked, it shows up
on the sliders and can be adjusted. If the radio is on
and hooked in, you should be able to hear it.
