Little pop between tracks?

I download live music from archive.org and store on the hard drive. Some of
the shows are long and I like to play them through media player because of
the visuals which I have connected to a television and stereo in the living
room. My computer is in the bedroom. My problem is that when media player
plays the tracks, there is an annoying pop/tick whatever when switching
tracks. Is there a setting or something I'm doing wrong? If I burn the
tracks to CD they play fine but the length is limited. Any ideas? If not,
can I get the visuals with an outside player?

Just a knee jerk but it sounds like you need a new audio driver for your
sound card. Try this:
1) Right click my computer
2) click properties
3) Hardware Tab -> click device manager
4) Right click Sound, Video, and Game Controllers -> update driver

Also try going to the web site for your audio card manufacturer (or your
computer makers site) to see if they have an updated driver.

If these don't work, most other players have visuals built in as well. One
example is music match which I think can be downloaded from Yahoo.
