Loading drivers

Is there any way to set the order in which drivers are loaded at boot
time?

I'm having problems with what I suspect is the sound drivers disabling
my cordless keyboard and mouse at initial startup.

If I disable the sound drivers before I reboot, the keyboard and mouse
work fine and I can then re-enable the sound drivers and everything
works OK.

But if I leave the sound drivers enabled and then reboot, the keyboard
and mouse are dead.

TIA.

Please describe your computer, in particular the keyboard and mouse. Have
you checked online for Vista beta drivers for the keyboard and mouse? If
you cannot resolve this and cannot tolerate the methods you are using now
then use a generic keyboard and generic mouse during this phase of beta
testing. In any case, file the bug report. Be sure to provide the model
info on the wireless keyboard and mouse.

Computer is a Medion model 8386 - P4 3.2 GHz with 2GB RAM.
Keyboard/mouse is Logitech "HID" cordless keyboard and mouse. C-Media
High Definition Audio Device with driver v5.12.1.8 - these are the
default drivers which came with the Vista installation and I've not been
able to find any later drivers online.

I'll certainly be filing a bug report if I'm not able to resolve this
problem.

Thanks for replying.

Great, but file the bug report in any case. A good bug report includes any
workarounds and fixes found.
