We purchased a new computer in Nov 2001 including Windows
XP Home Edition. Whilst the supplier installed the
operating system at the time, they did not instal the Fax
Console program. We did this ourselves later from the CD
they gave us at the time and we have been using it
successfully since then.
Recently, due to a fault in the hard disk drive, we had
to return our computer to the supplier for repair.
Subsequently, they re-installed Windows XP Home Edition
but again did not instal the Fax Console program.
This time, when we tried to do this ourselves from the
same CD, we could not get past the message which requests
the CD to be placed in "D" drive, even though we have
done this before. It just doesn't seem to recognise that
it is there. We have also tried it with the CD in "E"
drive, neither seems to work.
Prior to this, we again dowloaded all the "critical"
updates, but not yet the others because they take so much
time to instal.
Can you advise any reason for the difficulty we are
having with the FAX installation and what we have to do
to again instal and operate the FAX console program.
