Local Admin Account Locked after Sysprep

Posted: 07-15-2003, 06:28 PM
I installed all my applications and then ran sysprep to
reseal the drive so it could imaged. Everything went
great until I entered the product key and the pc
rebooted. Now it comes up to the User Name and Password
and no password I use will work.

I even tried running the repair from the CD and the same
thing happens. Will someone tell me if there is a way to
get around this, or do I have to start all over by
formatting the drive, and re-installing all my
applications again.

This PC is not currently on our Domain or I could reset
it that way. It just has the local account.

I have to get this fixed so that I can deploy this PC to
a user who is down. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Phox

If your hard-drive is NTFS formatted. Use CIA COMMANDER to reset a user
password from DOS.
http://www.wsdownload.de/products/CIACMD/index.html- CIA COMMANDER - Not
Free
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html - Free - Use at your
own risk.
If your hard-drive is FAT32 this will not help you, sorry.
Hope this helps.
