Default Local Log-in Issues with Networked Vista Box

I have a box I upgraded from XP Pro SP2 to Vista Business. Until now I have
been really pleased with Vista. This however has been a headache. When I
upgraded I used my regular account (which has local admin rights [UAC turned
on] I know, not recommended). I haven't had a reason until recently to use
another account on this box on my network.

Yesterday I wanted to log in with my domain admin account and lo' and behold
I couldn't. It would start the log in and show Logging in... then immediately
log back off. If I use Safe Mode I can log in with this account, but for some
reason normally booting the machine will prevent me from using this account.

I've checked the logs and the security log shows the log in... then I swap
over to the application log and at the corresponding time I show Event ID
1530 with the User Profile Service. I won't include the details but here are
the three (3) events I found in the application log.

**********************Begin Error Info***************************

Warning: Event 1530, User Profile Service
Windows detected your registery file is still in use by other applications
or services. The file will be unloaded now. The applications or services that
hold your registry file may not function properly afterwards.

(detail had 1 user registry handle leaked from... lists key)

Warning: Event 1530, User Profile Service
Windows detected your registery file is still in use by other applications
or services. The file will be unloaded now. The applications or services that
hold your registry file may not function properly afterwards.

(detail had 2 user registry handle leaked from...lists key)

Error: Event 1542, User Profile Service
Windows cannot load classes registry file.
DETAIL - The system cannot find the file specified.

**************************End Error Info************************

PC Specs:
Dell Precision M90
CPU: Dual Core 2.33 GHZ
RAM: 2 GB
OS: 32-bit Vista Business - Upgrade

Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Noticed I hadn't got any responses. I really could use the help.
