Local printer with remote desktop

Posted: 09-29-2003, 09:46 PM
I cannot print locally on my HP6110 when logged on
remotely to my desktop at work. I'm using XP-Home
locally, and work is XP-Pro. I've loaded the HP6110
driver onto my work computer. Printer property-port is
USB. The printer does not have a LPT/COMM port option.
The printer is set for "shared" and the Remote-Options-
Local Resources-Printer is checked. I'm logged onto the
Network at work through a VPN. All programs work fine.
Others have local printers attached to their PCs in the
office, and those work fine. I got my local printer to
respond once, after I used the wizard to set up the
shared printer, but the driver hadn't been installed at
that time, and it printed garbage. Since that time,
nothing! (I can't access the wizard again.) PLEASE HELP!
