local rights when i join a domain

Posted: 08-22-2003, 08:53 PM
Hey guys,

This one has been bugging me for a while. I have a
windows 2000 domain running. On the domain we have all
types of clients connected ( 98, 2000, & XP). Soon as I
join an XP machine to the domain I lose all rights to the
local machine. I cannot add a local printer, nor
hardware.

I have tried this logging on as the domain admins & and
local admins. It always tells me i don't have rights to
add hardware. And when i go to add a local printer, the
option is grayed out.

Again, this is only on my XP machines and even when logged
in as an admin.

Thanks,
Cory
