Log on Password Rejection from Vista to Network

Hi All!
I've been trying for weeks to get my pc running Vista Home Premium to my
network (consisting of 1 pc running WINXP Home, 1 pc running WINXP Pro, a
laptop running WINXP Pro, and a NAS storage Drive.) I could see all the pcs
and drives and everything connected except the Vista pc to the NAS Storage.
I kept getting a RPC error, password invalid.

Last thing I tried that worked:

- Click start
- Type: regedit
- Press enter
- In the left, expand these folders:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\

- In the left, click on the folder named:

Lsa

- In the right, double-click "LmCompatibilityLevel"
- Type the number 1 and press enter
- Restart your computer

Then, it didn't seem to work, BUT... another reminder about logging on with
Vista (and I initially remember this from WINXP), make sure you list your id
as DOMAIN\USER ID. Did that and everything connected. Just wanted to share
in case it helps anyone else.
