| Hi there, Are you refering to the BIOS boot up password or Windows user account password? to enable BIOS password, refer to http://www.lockdown.co.uk/?pg=biospsw&s=articles. However do note that different BIOS vendor has different method of setting BIOS password. but the idea is generally the same. To ensure that users are required to enter their password to logon to Windows, Go to 'Start' > 'Run' > type 'control userpasswords2' > and make sure 'Users must enter username and password...' is checked. | Neither the BIOS or the Windows Passwords offer much protection and they both can be bypassed easily. Using an encryption program is the only way to get a modicum of security in data protection. Both will of course stop a casual use of your system. "Jeffrox" <Jeffrox@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:5B4CBC3C-DBCD-4664-8210-D0F7A4F0A402@microsoft.com... Quote:
