| I have an XP Pro installation that was upgraded from an HP ME bundled sytem. One of my resulting accounts is an Administrative account called "HP Authorized Custom" and XP's "built-in" account "Administrator." In "User Accounts" when I change the logon mode from the default Welcome screen mode to the standard mode "HP Authorized Custom" appears in the user field and cannot be changed. I can logon only to that account. Two questions: 1. How do I fix the standard logon mode to allow any user to logon? 2. Is it possible to logon to the built-in Admin account? (how?) Thanks for your help! Mike | Guest

| I can answer your second question. You have to start the computer in safe mode and logon using the password you chose during installation. I'm not sure about fixing the logon to allow any user the only thing you could do is setup a seperate account with the name standard and using TweakUI it is possible to auto logon so that the only way to get to the other user account is to logoff. Hopefully this helps, let me know if you need anymore assistance Peter Robinson (UK) Quote:
