Re: Logon errors not happening when I use debugger

I haven't read through the old thread in depth, but is it possible it's
related to needing a pagefile on your system?

Or perhaps you're missing a SxS (side by side) component that was
inadvertently disabled or deleted from your configuration?

"more logon errors" and was advised to use debugger. I have installed
debugger and have it working. With the debug switches active in the boot.ini
on my target I never get an error. When I take the debug switches out of the
boot.ini I again get the boot up errors. This ranges from a GINA or SAS or
winlogon error. I am not loading any additional programs, just XPe. It
happens whether I use Auto Logon or not. If I shut off COM and PNP and most
all the other services the problem stops but then I have a useless OS. I
have searched the web and this NG for others who have seen errors. All I
find is issues with some standard XPe security updates. I have keep my XPe
dev pc up to date with all the QFE's MS has posted. Could one of those like
811493 be causing my problem.

And
Here is what I posted on 3/3
Hi. About a week ago I posted the following winlogon error I am getting
Winlogon.exe - Application erro
Instruction at 0x00d63f2d referenced memory at 0x00000019. The memory could not be written
When I click OK I get a stop error c000021a with a status of 0xc0000005 (which is access denied)
This happens about once every 10 to 20 restarts
I was advised to perform dependency check, which I ran in TD and did not change anything after I ran it. Problem still exists
Told to use Depends.exe. I have run it on about 100 dll's and 50 .exe's with nothing other then an MPR error that on MS.com is listed as a non issue
I have removed Autologon and now get GINA.exe erro
I have booted in Diagnostic Startup. Still got erro
I have tried to capture info with a bootlog. Nothin
I have tested the hardware with a full XP Pro load, no errors
I know I am missing something here
I need some advice. Can anyone help

I was advised to use the debugger. When debugger is turned on I never get a failure. Frankly I am stumped. I have used several builds including the one KM told me loads all the XPe files. So I cannot see where a SxS would be the issue. But I will look and try anything now.
Pau
