| I reinstalled Mcafee Antivirus SW on my son's PC (XP Home edition sp1). Now when the logon screen comes up, I enter his password. It says loading your personal settings, and goes to the desktop. There is a box in the desktop that I am assuming would be McAfee splash screen but it then says saving your settings and logs him back out. I have brought it up in safe mode and tried to log in through the Administrator account with the same result. I also tried the last known good configuration and debugging mode but neither helped. Is there anything I can do short of a reinstall of XP? Thanks, Janine | Guest

| My computer goes to the window start page after starting up. When I attempt to click on the user account icon to access windows, the screen flashes "loading personal preferences" then immediately flashes "Logging off". Any ideas on how I can log on? The last thing that I know was done to the computer was that Antivir protection program was running a virus scan. Thanks | Guest
