Default Logon Problem

My XP Pro machine (All of a sudden) is not allowing me to logon to my NT 4.0
Domain. I have admin rights and am getting the following error:

"The local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively"

Any help out there?

Default logon Problem

I have a PC which I updated to XP home. It is asking for
a password, even for 'Guest' login. I tried to reboot in
safe mode and then it asked for the 'Administrator'
password. I cannot get by this screen. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Default Logon problem

I reinstalled Mcafee Antivirus SW on my son's PC (XP Home
edition sp1). Now when the logon screen comes up, I enter
his password. It says loading your personal settings, and
goes to the desktop. There is a box in the desktop that I
am assuming would be McAfee splash screen but it then says
saving your settings and logs him back out. I have brought
it up in safe mode and tried to log in through the
Administrator account with the same result.
I also tried the last known good configuration and
debugging mode but neither helped.
Is there anything I can do short of a reinstall of XP?
Thanks,
Janine

Default Logon problem

Dear Janine,

This problem occured with my aunt's pc last night. She's
also using Windows XP Home SP1.

Have you found a solution to 'our' problem already?
If so, would you share it with the rest of us
misfortunates please.

Best regards,

Anthony

Default logon problem

My computer goes to the window start page after starting
up. When I attempt to click on the user account icon to
access windows, the screen flashes "loading personal
preferences" then immediately flashes "Logging off". Any
ideas on how I can log on? The last thing that I know was
done to the computer was that Antivir protection program
was running a virus scan.

Thanks

I don't know if this will apply or not but it's worth a look at anyway
