Logon to XP without user credentials localy using dial-up/VPN before Windows logon

Posted: 01-18-2005, 09:38 AM
We are going to preinstall Windows XP with OS, HW and applications,
including a preinstalled Nortel VPN client and a dial-up RAS connection
(fiberlink).

We ship PCs to sites where there is no direct connection to our LAN/WAN.
Users have no cached credentials and they are requested to use .

Is it actually possible for users to logon without cached credentials with
logon with dial-up at CTRL+ALT+DEL?

If yes, is this functionality only available with Microsoft RAS/VPN?

Is there any experience out there with Nortel VPN clients/Fiberlink in this
scenario?

Thanks

Gaute
