| I have Windows XP Home Edition. When I logon using the Welcome screen, my account (administrator) does not appear (my picture is also hidden in the Start toolbar). Only the other account appears. I tried to create a new account, and then this new account is not shown in the welcome screen! If I delete this new account, then the main account starts disappearing again. It seems that I do not have a way out of this. This problem started after I installed the most recent Microsoft funpacks - walpapers changer and video screen saver powertoys. What is the solution? Should I re-install Windows and all the other programs, again, except the powertoys (I would like to avoid this alternative)? | Guest

Look in the "Logon" section and see if the Administrator user is checked to show up on the welcome screen. By default he *is* hidden - on purpose. -- Shenan Stanley "Just trying to help" ------------------------- How to use XPs Help and Support http://tinyurl.com/fltf How to Use the Microsoft Product Support Newsgroups http://tinyurl.com/fkja How to use Google http://www.google.com/help/basics.html http://tinyurl.com/fkmc ------------------------- | Guest

| Thank you, Shenan Stanley! You were quick and efficient!!! I found the option 'Logon' in TweakUI, and my Administrator account was as you said: 'hidden'! I had tried TweakUI before, but I looked at the subsections of the Logon section, only! I guess it was my fault... Many thanks! Marisa Quote:
