No. "Longhorn" was the 'internal' code name for the operating system that
has become Windows Vista. Microsoft gives the operating systems it is
working on (as well as other software projects) code names by which they
refer to them. Later, when they've decided upon a name under which the
operating system (or other product) is to be marketed, the code name is
dropped for the market name.

For example, back in '93 or '95, the project that was to become Windows 95
was called "Chicago".

The OP was kind of correct.
Vista is the name of the client.
The server version is still referred to as Longhorn since the final name has
not yet been determined.

Currently if you say Vista, you are referring to the client and not the
Server.
If you say Longhorn, it is assumed you are referring to the Server since
that is the way Microsoft distinguishes the two.
