Looks like Swen's making a comeback

Just as I thought it was starting to quieten down, watch out for those
internet updates etc. with a file size of 13-15 Kb or about 156 Kb

It never really quieted down. I've been seeing the things posted almost
daily with all kinds of catchy phrases. I posted an alert some two weeks
ago (Time does fly.) when they started. Best defense seems to always check
the message size; in reply to my own query, it was mentioned on one NG that
anything over 4 kb is suspect.

Are you two talking about those Fake Microsoft Emails that's been coming to
me ever since I first posted. The one's with the viruses?

There have been a rash of 13-15 kb posts, not with MS as the sender, which
could be script files (?) for unleashing Heaven knows what. The subject
lines go something like, "Try this juicy morsel", something that looks
unrelated to computers, yet interesting. As I said originally, start
looking at the message SIZE. Until there is some kind of confirmation that
these things are safe, it's best to not open.
