| Dear Sirs, I have a question, hope you can find me. I downloaded the Beta from Vista and got a serial from Microsoft. I burned the Vista, printed out the serial and installed. The problem is that later on I had to format the HD. Now i have lost the DVD and the serial. Since I am not allowed to download the beta again, I am unable to get the serial. It is possible to recover online the serial number for the Beta? Many thanks. Bartolomé Mayol | Guest

| Why you lost the DVD too! What are you going to reinstall the memory of having the DVD and serial number. "Bartolomé Mayol" <Bartolomé Mayol@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:2CB952A7-1077-484D-A6D0-562616C0DB06@microsoft.com... Quote:

| No. Microsoft has not provided a link to check one's Product Key. "Bartolomé Mayol" <Bartolomé Mayol@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:2CB952A7-1077-484D-A6D0-562616C0DB06@microsoft.com... Quote:

| If it was still installed on a machine, AIDA32 could retrieve it easily. If it's not on a bootable HDD and with your other circumstances your only chance is to contact the customer support office where you obtained your copy of the Beta. Perhaps they can retrieve it from your order info or can give you another one. -- Regards, Len Segal, MCP Microsoft - MVP -------------- My reply address is intentionally wrong to reduce SPAM Email. | If you burned it to DVD and printed out the serial, I am not sure what the problem is. All you have to do is stick the DVD in your drive and boot to it. Then you can use the printed out serial # and enter it during installation. | If you have "lost the DVD" you can't install Vista at all, therefore you can not use *any* serial key. Wait for RC1, it'll be out 'sometime real soon' as they say in the computer industry.
