Low Battery Warning on Desktop Compaq

Greetings, Anyone know why I get the following:

Application popup: Low Battery : You should change your
battery or switch to outlet power immediately to keep
from losing your work.

I would expect this message on a laptop that is not on an
AC adapter but not a desktop plugged into the wall. My
config is Win XP Home edition, Compaq Presario 6000
desktop.
