Mail on RC1

In Beta 2 Mail was Version 7.0 ( beta 2 mentioned)
In RC1 it's 6.0 (RC1 mentioned)

Did they drop back ? or the version # means nothing ?

Also, in Mail:
I entered this newsgroup , did " display only replies to my messages "(group
by conversation) and there were 2. Then I did a search for 'MAIL' in this
group - found 3 threads. I read them and they didn't apply to my question
(above) , so I closed the search window and then those 3 were listed on my
screen below the 2 REAL threads that had replies for me. A new bug ?
Try it - same thing for you ?

That must have been an error. Windows and it's programs all share the same
version number so mail should be version 6.0.5600 in RC1.
