Making incoming email plain text only ?

Posted: 11-23-2003, 05:25 PM
I saw sometime ago that making all received email open in plain text, except
for attachments, was possible. I've gone through every setting in OE but
cannot find anything I recognize that specifically does this. I remember
that the instructions in the post back then did not work as I could not find
the feature it mentioned. What did I miss ?

Hi,

From Outlook Express, click tools/options/read tab, "read all messages in
plain text".

Malvern,

In Outlook Express;

Rick and Sir George,
That's what I thought/remember it was. I don't have that option to mark
Was this in a patch I missed ?

It's kind of stuck in that list "Reading Messages." Should see it right
after "Automatically download message when viewing in Preview Pane" and
right above "Show Tool Tips in the message list for clipped items."

I think this was always in XP's version of OE. I don't remember it being in
a separate patch or update anyhow. Sorry.
