| I had changed my Media Center resolution to a setting it didn't like, thereby generating a black screen whenever Media Center would start. Since the screen was black, there was no way for me to go back into Tools and change it. Some people suggest using PowerStrip to force resolution changes, but I wanted to find out where the resolution changes where stored. Go into regedit. Drill down to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Media Center/Settings/DisplayService/ There is a PhysicalHeight and PhysicalWidth Reg_DWORD that will show you your resolution. Edit this to the desired resolution. For instance, 300 is 768, 400 is 1024, 500 is 1280, etc. That fixed me right up. Hope it does you too. | Guest
